CTS #31 & CQC 192

I love the challenge of doing a single layer card, but I don't do them very often. This CAS(E) this sketch looked perfect for me to try it today.
I also used the color combo for the ColorQ challenge for this week.
I used my new Ippity stamp, Feather Flight, that I won on Unity's blog a few weeks ago. Woo Hoo! I love that feather! I stamped it in Memento's Teal Zeal, then spritzed it with water.
I like this single feather card the best. I tried it several ways with the feathers in multiples, but still came back to the single one as the favorite.

The Houndstooth is from Papertrey, the Weavy stitching is from Technique Tuesday, and the sentiment is from Stampin Up. The inks are Memento Teal Zeal, Amuse Slate gray, SU Certainly Celery & Soft Sky.

Friends With Flair

This is for Unity's Friday Friends With Flair. I am still in love with Donna Downey's Insightful Meadow set. I stamped the flower in PTI's Ocean Tides, and that is also the base card too.
The sentiment is a SU swap that I just found in my images folder. I used it earlier this week, and just had to use it again, I love it so much. The buttons and twine are also PTI.

Hand Made Burp Cloths

I went to a baby shower yesterday, and just had to show you what I made. I have been thinking about what to make for my friend's new baby for awhile. I haven't sewn much in the past few months, and this was the perfect thing to get back into it. I found this tutorial for these super easy Burp Cloths.
I used Chenille and Snuggle Flannel from Joann's Fabric store. These are so soft, I wish I had a use for them, but alas, I don't burp up anymore. LOL and I don't have kids either.

Of course, I had to make my own card, and tag to match. I love these little monkeys! They are from Basic Grey: Oliver. And she is using a jungle theme in blue/green for the baby room.

The label for the set, is another of my stash of image trades. It is Stampin Up, against a hand stitched label from MFT, and that is on top of a mat stack from PTI. I used every company I love for this whole set. LOL

CTS 6

This is for the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #6. I switched sides for the flower/sentiment, I hope that is ok for the sketch. I have been seeing a lot of white on white without mats the past few weeks, so I thought I would try it out with this one.
A couple years ago, I did quite a bit of image trades on splitcoaststampers.com. I had wanted this sentiment for a long time, and then I got it, and never used it. So I pulled this out of my super stash of images, and added one of my favorite Donna Downey stamps from Unity: Insightful Meadow. I stamped it in my new fav colors from PTI, Autumn Rose. The polka dot paper is MME: Stella & Rose.

Focal Point Challenge

This is for Michelle & Corey's anniversary. I also made it for the Moxie Fab Focal Point challenge.
It is a little Faux Watercolored. The flower is from SU's Fabulous Flowers. I inked it in Memento's new Morocco ink, then misted it with water in a mini mister, and stamped, then misted again, and stamped off the edges. The sentiment is AMuse: Essential Sentiments stamped in AMuse gray.
The paper is My Mind's Eye Indie Chic "Ginger". I love that whole pad of paper!!
The focal point of the card is edged in AMuse gray ink, to set it off against the patterned paper.
The PTI scallop edging is PTI gray paper, it matches the MME paper so well!

Classic Wedding Card

I have been wanting to try the looped ribbon behind a die cut again. This was the only black ribbon that I had, and it is self-adhesive, so the loops were wanting to stick to themselves, but as long as it doesn't get smashed in an envelope, I think it will look okay. I used PTI's Rustic cream card stock, black and Enchanted Evening ink.
The stamps are a retired set from SU. The die cut is from PTI, one of the Mat Stacks. It needed a little something extra, so I ran the edge of a Sharpie along the edge of the die cut. And then I used a glue pen, and some Dazzling Diamonds on the "&". (Wish you could see the sparkle!)
