Early Bird Paper

i am loving this Cosmo Cricket paper called Early Bird.
i am entering a contest on scs for spring cards. i made the one below, but dave said it wasn't springy, so i made this one above. i think spring means flowers.
once again, i have done paper piecing on both cards.
i love the matching boots and coat. i wish i had one as cute! i cut out a mask so that i could sponge the blue sky background, and while the paper was still wet, i went back in with my aquapen to darken the edges. i think i have used up all of my red buttons on just these 2 cards. you know i love buttons!

Chilly Weather Card

this is one of the new releases from MFT stamps this month. it was so cute, i just had to get it. i love the little dog. i used my koh-i-noor pencils to color, and my one skin color copic to do the face. i like the pink cheeks, she looks really cold. the stamp is supposed to be a little boy, but i don't think you can tell. i also colored the dog on the envelope, but didn't blend it, he looks a little furry that way. the paper is from cosmo cricket.

Fond Farewell to Serendipity

we are saying goodbye to Serendipity in Henderson Ky, as they are closing their doors the end of this month. i will miss it! and everyone i met there.
i picked up all of my samples and class projects on saturday, and can't believe that it won't hardly fit on my table. so i thought i would reminisce over the last 1 1/4 years.

these were a few of my first classes. i LOVE the Bind-it-All.

my first winter of making store samples, i was in love with the A Muse snowman called Edward. can you tell? and the A Muse polka dot paper!

the cookbook was my first class, and i think this project is probably my favorite. i still love that paper. oh, and black chipboard! is there anything better?! and i think this is the start of my love for buttons too.

i think this was my first JustRite monogram card. i still love that paper.

and this was my most difficult challenge: the scrapbook page. i finally did it, with the last papercrafting kit. woo hoo!
thanks Kim, for all the memories. and i look forward to seeing your next projects on your etsy.com site.

Lisa's Baby Shower Invites

i love the A Muse baby stamp: "babies are such a great way to start people".
i thought this brown textured paper looked like alligator skin. and i was inspired by the rag quilt that lisa and i made(our first), it has alligators and owls on it.

this is from flannel baby blankets from target.
