Mom and Dads 37th

this is last year's anniversary card for my parents. i was playing around with photoshop and found the filter/sketch/stamp option, to make any pic look like a stamp. this is a pic of mom and dad at my wedding 15 years ago.

she still tells me that is her favorite anniversary card.

i have played with some other pics:

this is my favorite, lisa and aaron.

below is a pic of dave and i, i accidently deleted the original pic when i saved this one. dave is doing his traditional pic pose, the shooter(one hand always points to the camera and one eyebrow is raised). it always gets a laugh, except on our first trip together, EVERY SINGLE pic was that pose.

Neopolitan Grumpybella

I wanted to try the sketch challenge this week on scs, and my bella has been crying out to be used. I don't have any bellas, but i did an image swap a while back, and grumpybella was so cute. Dave says this looks like neopolitan ice cream.

Stamps: Grumpybella, Making Memories Express It
Paper: white, choc, Paper Studio-coco & pink SM argyle, American Crafts-the goods booties
Ink: pretty in pink, pale plum, sage shadow, black, choc

Gift Tin

here is a tin with a clear lid. i am still not sure what kind of goodies i am going to put in it. the orange layer is on the underside of the lid, so that the glue dots don't show. i needed some cheery paper to look at.

Watercolor Tote?

i have a little ocd, i think. once i started making these totes, i cannot stop myself. so here is another. i loved this lining because it looks like it has been watercolored. i bought the last yard and half of this fabric. i didn't know at that time it would be on a tote. i would love to have a shirt made out of this. if i can find any more when i go to evansville, i may buy more for some curtains. i love it that much!
also, i adjusted one of the inside pockets. you can see it in the above pic. it is a little smaller, and at the top of the tote.
in this pic, i wanted to show the blooms. i adjusted the pattern, so that i could have one big bloom showing on the bag.

here, i wanted to show you the strap, i just love that fabric!

Matchbook

i feel bad for not uploading anything this week, but the time slipped by and i did not do any stamping this week. oh the horror!
so this is another old one. i stamped with white craft ink on black paper, then used the white gel pen to do the faux stitches. it is like a matchbook card, but with the slit punch to hold it closed, and then a big brad for style.stamps: su farm fever, print pattern
ink: su white craft ink, white gel pen, black, blush blossom

Monogram Sets

michelle made this wonderful monogram set for me. it has 4 cards(folded) and 4 note cards(made with papertrey ink cardstock-very thick-i love it) with 8 envelopes. she has made a lot of them with different patterned papers, and i have liked all of them.

she has different rings that go around the initials. if you are interested in a set for yourself, or as a gift for someone else, let me know, and i can put you in touch with her.

when i was at her house this week, i made a set for my parents. i used colored cardstock that matched the striped paper. and i only made 4 folded cards. my boxes only hold 4 cards.

this is what we woke up to this morn. we only got about 6-8 inches, we can't tell because of all the drifts. this is our solar light that sticks about a foot out of the ground. i thought it would make a neat pic.

Michelle's Tote

this is what i have been doing this week. actually, i have been shopping for fabric for michelle's tote for over a month. i look for 2 heavier fabrics with a lightweight lining. i could not for the life of me decide. and we only have 2 fabric stores in town. so i was going back and forth between the two with all sorts of samples, trying to match colors. finally, i let the surprise factor go, and asked michelle to help pick out her own fabrics. i think this turned out great. i like it as well as mine(the black, white and red one).

i put a mini catalog in the pocket, so you could see the size. the pocket lining on the brown pockets match the inner lining.

i used McCalls pattern M4851, and adjusted the size for a smaller size. here are details on the larger one.

Card Tote with Spring Solitude

michelle and i were finally able to find time together to stamp. and i churned out a whole set of cards with it's own tote. i saw a tutorial on running with scissors website back in oct and have been wanting to make it. i was finally able to once i found this cool paper by The Paper Studio.

this is my favorite card of the bunch.

here is the finished tote. i really like it with the little dew drops on them.

i ordered some Robin's Nest dew drops and cannot wait to play with them. meanwhile, michelle let me use some of hers for this set.
