Handmade Rings

Earrings one day, and rings the next. I had so much fun!!!!
The top one was my inital try to see how it was going to work. I don't know what type of stone that is, but it reminds me of a Chicklet piece of gum. I used to love those as a kid, maybe that's why I like it so much. LOL
But this one is my favorite! I am wearing it right now, as I type, and I just LOVE it!! And it was fun to do, I love the little bit that I wound into the side. I think it just finishes it so nicely.
This is the easy, 6 min tutorial, that I used to make these. It was very easy to follow!

Crocheting Again

This is what I've been doing lately.
 Popcorn stitch.
This one is Organic Cotton, I will be posting it in my etsy store, as soon as I can get some other pics.
I used this pattern from Crafts n Things.
 This one was for Doris.
 This one was for Jo.
This was for Carolyn, it has a silver fleck, with a little ruffle on the ends.

MME December Sketch Challenge

I can't believe it has been exactly a month since I posted anything. I have been busy, mostly crocheting, but I have been looking at challenges to get me back into some paper crafting. So! I decided to do My Mind's Eye December Sketch Challenge for scrapbooking.
All the paper is from MME. The background sheet is Bella Bella: French Flea Market. The other papers are The Sweetest Thing: Bluebell, Lime Twist: Happy Go Lucky, and Stella & Rose.
The stars are dies from A Muse
The stamp below the button is Unity's Ippity Kit: A Moment in Time.
The pics are from our latest family dinner, this past summer. My nephew Ian & his cousin Jake were climbing trees, and Ian said he was a monkey, so they were making monkey noises. It was too cute!

Friends With Flair

This is for Unity's Friday Friends With Flair. I am still in love with Donna Downey's Insightful Meadow set. I stamped the flower in PTI's Ocean Tides, and that is also the base card too.
The sentiment is a SU swap that I just found in my images folder. I used it earlier this week, and just had to use it again, I love it so much. The buttons and twine are also PTI.

Cornish Heritage Farms "Trees" Challenge

Cornish Heritage Farms is having a Trees Challenge this week. It is amazing, that this stamp is my favorite of theirs!
For this card, I used MME Stella & Rose paper. I like inking the stamp with different colors, and then spritzing or misting with water. I use a little heavier hand with water when I use watercolor paper, and the result is always satisfying. (Altho this regular cardstock)
The inks I mixed for these: Memento Peanut Brittle & Morocco (on card), with SU Choc Chip; Memento Bamboo Leaves & SU Old Olive, Choc Chip (left); Memento Morocco & Rhubarb Stalk, SU Choc Chip (Right). It is always fun to mix colors, and see what comes out!!

Tags

I needed a tag for an order of cards, so I got into my stash of die cuts. I love making extras for just such quick occasions. The leaves, frame and polka dots are all from Papertrey Ink. Oh, and the ribbon too. I love their ribbon! It is so sturdy.

Hand Made Burp Cloths

I went to a baby shower yesterday, and just had to show you what I made. I have been thinking about what to make for my friend's new baby for awhile. I haven't sewn much in the past few months, and this was the perfect thing to get back into it. I found this tutorial for these super easy Burp Cloths.
I used Chenille and Snuggle Flannel from Joann's Fabric store. These are so soft, I wish I had a use for them, but alas, I don't burp up anymore. LOL and I don't have kids either.

Of course, I had to make my own card, and tag to match. I love these little monkeys! They are from Basic Grey: Oliver. And she is using a jungle theme in blue/green for the baby room.

The label for the set, is another of my stash of image trades. It is Stampin Up, against a hand stitched label from MFT, and that is on top of a mat stack from PTI. I used every company I love for this whole set. LOL

CTS 6

This is for the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #6. I switched sides for the flower/sentiment, I hope that is ok for the sketch. I have been seeing a lot of white on white without mats the past few weeks, so I thought I would try it out with this one.
A couple years ago, I did quite a bit of image trades on splitcoaststampers.com. I had wanted this sentiment for a long time, and then I got it, and never used it. So I pulled this out of my super stash of images, and added one of my favorite Donna Downey stamps from Unity: Insightful Meadow. I stamped it in my new fav colors from PTI, Autumn Rose. The polka dot paper is MME: Stella & Rose.

Unity's Friends with Flair

These are a few more of the Anniversary cards that I made for an order last week. I thought I would save them for today's Friends with Flair.  The pear is Unity's 100% Happy store set, and I did a bit of watercolor on it.

The striped paper is SEI, and the sentiment and zigzag stitch are both A Muse stamps.

SEI Happy Anniversary!

I had an order for Anniversary cards, so I pulled out some of my favorite SEI paper, and added an A Muse sentiment.
 This paper has velvet leaves!
This one is my favorite paper. I popped up the panels, and love the effect!

CTS #4

I was in need of some quick Anniversary cards, so I thought I would try out this week's sketch over on the CAS(E) this Sketch blog. I used all A Muse for this one: blackberry paper, Sunflower stamp, and Essential Sentiments, and white ink.

CTS2 & CFC75

I used A Muse Friend to Friend stamps. I colored the leaves with a Koh-i-noor pencil, then topped it with Glossy Accents.

CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #2

This is for CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #2. I used A Muse stamps: Friend to Friend & Essential Sentiments.
I used PTI canyon clay ink spot to drag across the paper, then colored the petals with Memento rhubarb ink, and topped it with glossy accents.
