Mossy Violet

i started a sketch challenge on splitcoast stampers. i got started on this card and could not figure out what to do to make it right. michelle made a wonderful suggestion of using her definition stamp with a banner cut on the end. that is exactly what it needed. thanks michelle, i was so happy to stamp with you again.
stamps: su mixed bouquet, bouquet wheel, definitions?
ink: stazon black, su mellow moss, vintage violet

Gram Kelley in rural Illinois

i just found this pic again. i think it is the neatest old pic. it is of my grandma, that is her with the pony and her dad, i think. i like the mules on one side, and the old auto on the other.

it seems like everyone has been sick, i had a head cold for almost 2 weeks. and my stamping buddy has had sick kids. so i have been loading old cards. i was just in the mood for something a little different.

Sentiment Lists

this is a list of all the greetings and sentiments that i have available for use on cards. i thought i would upload this list so that when you want to order cards you will be able to choose your own sentiments.
you should be able to click over the pictures of the sentiments to see it bigger. i will try to put a link to this on the side of the blog, so it will be available later.

Brocade Silhouettes

i found a card on scs that i just loved. so this is my version of it, with a few changes in layers and colors. well i loved my layout so much, that i thought i could change stamp sets and colors and came up with this one:

Tote Bag Family

well, i finally made a second tote. i made the first to use for work, but it was a little too big. so i decided to cut the pattern down to make a smaller one. i thought i would have a baby tote, but the second is the perfect size, so i think the first is really the granddaddy of totes. you can see the catalog in the large tote, to see how big it really is.

next is a side view, to see how big the side pockets are. the large holds a water bottle in its side pockets, the small holds my phone and i put plasticware in there too for my lunch at work.

when my mom saw the first tote, she wanted one. so the baby tote is made from the scraps of the 2 bags, i just had to buy a small amount of red for the upper body. because it is from scraps, the straps are the most different. i wish i had enough of the black, white and red for the underside of the baby tote straps. but i am pleased with it, no matter what. i have enough of the black and white for another small bag, but now i am looking for a different lining to create another look. you may want to check back to see the next tote creation.

Garden Burgandy

the aqua pen is great! when my mom got this stamp, i could hear it begging to be watercolored. i used old olive and artichoke on the leaves, and ruby red and bravo burgandy on the bloom. i love to watercolor, i just hate drawing the picture first, that must be why i love stamping. thanks for looking at my stuff.
stamps: su from the garden
ink: su old olive, artichoke, ruby red, bravo burgandy, stazon black
paper: su bravo burgandy, black, whisper white

Bouquet

here is what i worked on today. i saw this layout a long time ago on scs, and loved it. the mellow moss sheet is cut in fourths, and the vanilla paper also in fourths. the vanilla is then folded in half. i used a word window punch, and lined it up to stamp the "thanks" underneath.
stamps: su bouquet wheel(unmounted), a muse thanks
ink: su mellow moss, perfect plum
paper: su mellow moss, vanilla

Fold Over Topper

i used 2 sided paper on this one. the plaid is folded over at the top, with the back side in light green showing. the image is stamped on vellum, with a couple stamped on the back side of the vellum so that the blooms are facing different directions. i used glue dots under the folded over flap, so they wouldn't show.
stamps: su oh so lovely
inks: artichoke, summer sun, really red, black
paper: mellow moss, artichoke
