Bursting Blooms - Which Pic?

i just love these new stamps from A Muse. and this is the first time i tried my Snow white PTI ink. and i love it against the black! i looked for my slot punch so i could use it to put the ribbon thru, and couldn't find it. so i lined up my double ribbon punch on the edge of the paper, and just got one slot. it worked! i also used leftover red cs from using my PTI rick rack die.

i get tired of always taking my pics against a white bg. and i think this one loses something because of the white card. i like the outdoor version? which do you like?

here is one more gift notebook. the paper is from My Mind's Eye, i had leftover from a class i did at Serendipity. sniff! sniff! i miss that store so much!

i guess this post is about "being Green". i talked a lot about using leftovers! ;)

Paper Crafts Sketch Challenge 1

when i saw this challenge, i immediately thought of this My Mind's Eye twill that i bought at Making Memories when they had their going out of business sale. i also used MME paper to match it.

the flower is from SU, and sentiment is PTI.

JustRite Friday Challenge #021

this card is for the JustRite Friday Challenge. michelle let me borrow some of her JustRite stamps that she won a while back. so i just stamped a bunch before i gave them back, and my favorite was this "gerbera" daisy(i call it). Gerbera's make me so happy.
i stamped this on SU summer sun paper, then used my aquapen to add ink(mustard, pumpkin pie, close to cocoa). i also used a white gel pen to add a few highlights. the stripe is My Mind's Eye. and the sentiment is PTI Everyday Button Bits.

CPS 168

This is the latest sketch challenge from CPS. I just received my latest PTI set Take Three-Summer in the mail yesterday. I think this stamp is my favorite right now.
the pink paper is raspberry fizz from PTI. the ink is Memento Paris Dusk, and Rose Bud.

Stamping 411: Saturday Sketch Challenge 152

i had fun with this sketch challenge from Stamping 411. this is the first time i used the "chick" stamp from my new PTI set Everday Button Bits.
this was a first try on this ribbon technique too. i think i need a little more practice, but at least i tried it.

Resisted Shells

this was a fun technique to try. first i stamped with SU french script background in creamy caramel. then stamped Stampington's shore cliff elements shells in versamark and embossed with fine clear embossing powder. then i sponged with PTI ocean tides ink around the edges and over the shells until they were pretty dark. i did something similar in this post, but with UTEE ultra thick e p. it gives a different look.

the background paper is Basic Grey, and i just had to add some hardware.
i couldn't get the shine to show up very well, but you can see it just a little. i had fun with it.

Embellish Color Challenge

this is for a challenge on embelish mag.com, Color Challenge with Butterflies.

i also used the sketch challenge from splitcoaststampers.com: SC281.

everyone knows i don't have a love for kraft paper, so this is a real challenge for me. i kept looking at all my pretty browns, like close to cocoa, and creamy caramel paper, but here it is: kraft, green and black. the pics to the challenge show the bride wearing white, so i felt like i could use that too.

the butterfly is from a SU set, Garden Whimsey.

Ten Minute Card or less

here is a quick and simple card that i made a couple months ago, and had not shown you yet.

i stamped a pale blue butterfly from my Stampington stamp set, called Shore Cliff Elements. then i just stamped a sentiment right over the top. the butterfly paper is Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby, mat it all, and its done! super quick!

i even stamped on the envelope, twice without reinking, love those butterflies!

Poppy & Ladybug

michelle let me use her brand new A Muse Bursting Blooms stamp. and i love it!!! i stamped it in black on PTI pure poppy paper, then stamped it in Memento Ladybug red ink on white over the tag from the Tag Trio nestabilities.

this layout is from the new Sketches mag from Papercrafts, just modified a bit.

Ian's Monster

this is my latest sewing project. it was so fun to make. and it has safety buttons so that children under 3 can play with it. you know its going to go straight to Ian's mouth. i definitely don't want him choking.

the pattern was in this book called Softies Only a Mother Could Love. there are a couple more that i plan to make, i can't wait to see how they come out.

in the book, his mouth is straight across, but i just had to put little curve to it. he makes me smile every time i look at him.

Sweet Cherries & CPS 165

i combined 2 challenges with this card. CPS has a layout this week, and Cosmo Cricket had a color challenge, and i thought their paper Early Bird worked with this one.
i used Best Blossoms from SU, and stamped off a couple times.
and then used PTI Everyday Button Bits for the sentiment.

Up, Up, and Away

these stamps are my newest from Papertrey Inc, Everyday Button Bits. i love hot air balloons, we had planned to ride in one out at Reid's Orchard for the Apple Festival a few years ago, but it was too windy and they cancelled it. they haven't offered it since. maybe we will get to, someday.

i tried to make the mountains look faraway, with their hazy lavender color, now, i am thinking i should've tried a light blue. maybe next time.
