This is for Stamping 411's Saturday Sketch Challenge.
I recently bought a book on how to make stuffed animals for my cutest nephew Ian. Every pattern in the book uses old shirts or sweaters. So when Dave got a spot on his green polo shirt, I saved it to make something cute. Little did I know it would be used on a card, and not an animal first.

I also checked out a Threads magazine at our local library. It had instructions on how to make these wonderful leaves, of course, they folded the edges under, sewed them shut, turned them right side out and then hand stitched the pleats. I needed an easier way to simplify this for card making. So, I used my round nestabilities to cut these out, and just hand stitched the pleats. I prob need to get some kind of fray check for the edges, but I think it works for now.
How innovative!!! Love your leaves! This is truly a beautiful card - love that PTI set! Good thing that Dave is in touch with his feminine size - that means you can make flowers out of his pink shirts! ;-)
